Raja festival (Odia: ରଜ ପର୍ବ) is one of the most popular festivals of Odisha, celebrated for three days in mid-June. The festival honors the Earth as a mother who undergoes menstruation and needs rest and care. It also marks the onset of the monsoon, which brings life and prosperity to the land.

The festival has a deep connection with nature and agriculture, as it marks the transition from summer to the rainy season. The farmers stop all their work and let the Earth rest for three days. They also pray to the Earth for a good harvest and offer her various fruits and flowers.
Raja Pana (betel) is one of the most famous items in Raja Parba along with mango, jackfruit, sweets, podapitha, etc. Girls use to play doli during Raja.
