The Ganesh Puja is commemorated all over India on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. This day is the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the 2nd son of Mata Parvati and Lord Shiva. The second child of Mata Parvati and Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, was born on this day.
On this day, people observe the Ganesha Brata fast. The day is celebrated by all schools in Odisha since Lord Ganesha is the God of learning and culture.
Hinduism holds that Lord Ganesh should always be adored before any goddess or divinity. Therefore, the Indian festive season begins after Ganesh Puja.
The Ganesh Pooja is held on the fourth day of the lunar-solar in the month of Bhadrav as per the Odia Calendar. And according to the Gregorian calendar, it is observed during the months of August and September. On August 31st of this year, 2022, we will celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi.
